Development of the export market
In the early 1990’s ALC
played a key role in developing South Africa’s
automotive export market by assisting local OEM’s
in launching the component export initiatives.
The aim with this undertaking was to support the
South African government’s “Motor
Industry Development Program” (A system
which offers import rebate credits to manufacturers
who export automotive products).
